The Chilhowee Baptist Association was formed on October 16, 1885 with the following recorded objective: “The objective of this Association shall be the advancement of the Redeemer’s Kingdom by preaching the Gospel at home and abroad, the promotion of Sunday Schools and the encouragement of ministerial and general denominational education.” Our Association is made up of 75 churches partnering together to accomplish the Great Commission of God (Matthew 28:19-20), and the Great Commandments of God (Matthew 27:37-39).
To assist churches in accomplishing these commands, the Chilhowee Baptist Association is organized around four priorities:
1. To promote mission awareness and involvement 2. To provide training in leadership and church growth development 3. To develop a kingdom vision for ministry 4. To provide quality resources and administration
