Day Camps
Teaching Children About Jesus

Bible story at day camp
Volunteer mission teams from churches go into Townsend’s commercial campgrounds to hold Day Camps for children.
Children hear a Bible story, make crafts, sing songs, play games and have a snack.

Family Evening Programs
Having fun and sharing the gospel
Family evening programs blend secular and spiritual. They are fun and wholesome activities provided to families camping in Townsend’s commercial campgrounds.
Mission teams from churches serve Monday through Friday, providing their own lodging andĀ all the materials they need to provide the programs.
Each evening they invite families to a picnic shelter in the campground. There, for about 45 minutes, the families have fun and hear the gospel presented in a clear, conversational, casualĀ way.
Some favorite activities during a family evening program are Bingo and other board games, karaoke, trivia nights, theme nights, watermelon feeds and hot dog cookouts.

Mmmm! S'mores

Campground Sunday Services
Bringing God’s Word to People in Campgrounds
Each Sunday morning during camping season, faithful chaplains conduct worship services in campgrounds in Townsend.
For those on vacation who would be in church if they were back home, these services provide an opportunity to worship God in the peaceful beauty of His creation.
For others, a casual setting may be an entry point for them to connect with God for the first time, or to re-establish a relationship with Him.
CHARM is blessed to have cooperation from campground owners and to have chaplains who love serving God by proclaiming Christ in campground settings.
